Hosting guests at a dinner party can be stressful if you plan on doing all the cooking. A great way to minimise your time spent in the kitchen, in this heat, is to set up a quick cheese or crudités platter. This way guests can help themselves with quick nibbles, and a beautifully arranged platter looks stunning on the table, doubling up as decor. Think cheese and crackers, hummus and veggies, or even dessert and fruit! I think a wood, slate, or marble board is an excellent choice for this.
I’m currently loving this round marble board from The Label Life. It’s a striking addition to any kitchen or tabletop. Though personally I wouldn’t use it for daily produce chopping, it’s perfect for serving up a cheese plate, or for canapés when you entertain guests. Display dry cakes, cookies, or mini-desserts on it at a teatime gathering, or simply use it with candles and flowers as a statement piece on the table.
