We all know food looks best when served on white dinnerware. The colours and textures of the dish are more clearly visible against white, and it’s an easy way to make food look appetising without much effort. You can’t go wrong with white. However, I’ve come to appreciate colourful and printed dinnerware of late.
I find it interesting to see how the colours of the food work with the crockery, and have tried to experiment with a few accent colour pieces recently. I really like painted ceramics for this purpose because they are so versatile. The colours look more natural as compared to artificial melamine, and there are so many options to choose from!
My find of this week are these beautiful, vibrant ceramic chrysanthemum dinner plates. I absolutely love the earthy tones, and they match well with wood, whites and neutral hues, and glass. Instead of getting an entire dinner set of these, you can buy a few and use it in a combination with wooden or white crockery you may already have.
